2018 Chevrolet Tahoe — single-cylinder misfire comes and goes

2018 Chevrolet Tahoe LT, about 130,000 miles. A cylinder-specific misfire code appeared after one rough start, then cleared and the engine feels normal. Plugs are not very old. Would you swap coils, inspect plugs, look at injector data, or wait for it to return?

OP update: scanned the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “single-cylinder misfire comes and goes,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe in North Jersey with 130,000 miles. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. That's the sequence I'd use. Heat soak after errands is the other window.
