2019 Ram 2500 — extended warranty on a used luxury car

2019 Ram 2500 Cummins, about 94,500 miles. I am buying a used luxury car just outside factory warranty. Dealer is offering a service contract that is not cheap. What exclusions, labor caps, deductibles and claim rules should I read before deciding? I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Independent PPI on the 2019 Ram 2500 is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” Then you'll know the next fork. Stop there until you know. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in NYC with 94,500 miles. Stop there until you know. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Title status is the whole conversation. If the 2019 Ram 2500 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. Then you'll know the next fork. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Quick update: a second 2019 Ram 2500 quote made the first offer look ordinary. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2019 Ram 2500 is enough reason to walk. I'd do that before spending real money. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2019 Ram 2500 (94,500 miles) and the doc fee was the tell. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.
