2021 BMW X5 — extended warranty on a used luxury car

I am buying a used luxury car just outside factory warranty. Dealer is offering a service contract that is not cheap. What exclusions, labor caps, deductibles and claim rules should I read before deciding?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2021 BMW X5 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2021 BMW X5 in New Jersey. Do that first. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. In New Jersey, insurance quotes flipped a 2021 BMW X5 comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
