2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2 — anyone else: Payload sticker changed my whole truck-shopping plan

I was focused on tow rating until I started adding passengers, gear and tongue weight. Now payload looks like the real limit. How much buffer do you personally leave for a family towing setup? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. On the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in New York, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “anyone else: payload sticker changed my whole,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Following up on anyone else: payload sticker changed my whole: still happening, but I have better notes now. I'll update if anything new shows up.
