2021 Hyundai Palisade — reliable cheap first car or newer car with warranty? — trying to narrow this down

HighwayGeek802Community StarterDec 22, 20252021 Hyundai Palisade LimitedAustin
2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited, about 84,500 miles. I am trying to balance purchase price against downtime and surprise repairs. Would you put the same budget into an older proven car with cash left over, or a newer car with warranty coverage? I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2021 Hyundai Palisade owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2021 Hyundai Palisade, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2021 Hyundai Palisade in Austin with 84,500 miles. Stop there until you know. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
