2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC — buying versus leasing when I change cars every three years

SunBeltHunter540Community StarterMay 20, 20262021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300New Jersey
2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300, about 31,500 miles. I usually change cars every three years and do not drive huge mileage. I am comparing total cost rather than just payment. What assumptions make leasing genuinely cheaper versus simply more convenient? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. In New Jersey, insurance quotes flipped a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “benz glc — buying versus leasing when,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in New Jersey before you fall in love with the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “benz glc — buying versus leasing when,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC in New Jersey with 31,500 miles. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. This is from a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC in New Jersey with 31,500 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. Two 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
