2022 BMW X3 M40i — would you pay more for documentation than lower mileage?

Comparing two older enthusiast cars: one has lower mileage but thin history, the other has higher mileage with years of invoices and owner notes. Assuming both inspect well, how much value do you put on records? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2022 BMW X3 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 BMW X3 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'll update if anything new shows up.
