2022 Genesis GV70 — would you buy an ex-rental car at the right price?

GarageNomad373Community StarterDec 6, 20252022 Genesis GV70 3.5TSalt Lake City
2022 Genesis GV70 3.5T, about 49,000 miles. A former rental is cheaper than privately owned examples and has frequent service records. Cosmetics show normal wear. What extra inspection points matter because of rental use?

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2022 Genesis GV70 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. That's the sequence I'd use. Sleeping on the number either way.

Quick add on that: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Genesis GV70 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “would you buy an ex-rental car at,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. I screenshotted the quote for later.

I would not stare at the monthly. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2022 Genesis GV70 price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Salt Lake City with 49,000 miles. Did the worksheet show tax yet? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. Two 2022 Genesis GV70 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. No need to make it theatrical. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Quick update: a second 2022 Genesis GV70 quote made the first offer look ordinary. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Genesis GV70 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. That's the whole play. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2022 Genesis GV70 numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “would you buy an ex-rental car at,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

If I were shopping this, if one piece looks too good on the 2022 Genesis GV70, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Not convinced that's the whole story. If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Genesis GV70, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Was this after sitting overnight? Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Call your insurer in Salt Lake City before you fall in love with the 2022 Genesis GV70. If they balk, that's your answer. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Genesis GV70 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “would you buy an ex-rental car at,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Salt Lake City with 49,000 miles. That's the sequence I'd use. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Genesis GV70, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Salt Lake City with 49,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I want that in data.
