2022 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport — need advice: Runs hotter sitting in traffic than moving

2022 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport, about 151,000 miles. Coolant temp climbs while idling with the A/C on, then drops back down once I'm moving. Coolant is full and I don't see a leak. Fans do run, but I'm not sure they're moving enough air. What would you test next? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread. Ambient temp was about 45°F when I noticed it.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Honda Accord is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Ask what changed right before it started. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Honda Accord catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Quick add on that: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Honda Accord catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Do that first. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Honda Accord does it — then decide on parts. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “need advice: runs hotter sitting in traffic,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Honda Accord in Upstate New York with 151,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Honda Accord is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Asking because it changes the advice: Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Honda Accord if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Was this after sitting overnight? I'll poke at it this weekend.

Log the conditions before you spend. Capture voltage while the 2022 Honda Accord is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “need advice: runs hotter sitting in traffic,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.
