2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE — rolling negative equity into another car

GarageDaily513Community StarterDec 3, 20252022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4MATICPennsylvania
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 4MATIC, about 47,000 miles. Current car is worth less than the payoff and I need something different. Dealer says they can roll the difference into the new loan. I am trying to understand how ugly the math gets before doing that.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “benz gle — rolling negative equity into,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE in Pennsylvania with 47,000 miles. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Call your insurer in Pennsylvania before you fall in love with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “benz gle — rolling negative equity into,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Agree — and I'd add this: Call your insurer in Pennsylvania before you fall in love with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “benz gle — rolling negative equity into,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I asked about benz gle — rolling negative equity into again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Pennsylvania changed the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE comparison more than the sale price did. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Two 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision.
