2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 — driver seat clicks during left-right transitions

TorqueGeekCommunity StarterMay 24, 20262023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 LimitedWestchester
2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited, about 24,000 miles. I can feel a small click through the seat base in corners. Mounting bolts appear tight and power functions work. How do you isolate rail play versus the frame or motor mechanism? I am in Westchester.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 didn't change. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Don't clear the alert just to make the screen pretty. Leave the alerts on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 so service can see what you saw. That's where I'd start. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I'd rather be boring and correct. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Charge curves lie if you don't match starting SOC and temp. Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 charge sessions. I'd do that before spending real money. Stop there until you know. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

I'd treat 12V warnings as a no-ignore. On the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, I'd get the 12V/DC-DC side checked even if the traction pack looks fine. Then you'll know the next fork. On “driver seat clicks during left-right transitions,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Westchester with 24,000 miles. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Low-voltage gremlins will strand you even with a full pack. Try a second charger before blaming the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 — site sharing and pack temp change the curve a lot. I'd do that before spending real money. Any freeze-frame data saved? Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

I'd push back a little: Match starting SOC and battery temp if you're comparing 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 charge sessions. That's where I'd start. Stop there until you know. I'll update if anything new shows up.
