2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 — eV has plenty of main battery but shows a 12V warning — anyone dealt with this recently?

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited, about 23,000 miles. Traction battery is charged, but a low-voltage warning appeared after the car sat overnight. I know the small battery can still immobilize an EV. What information would you capture before service?

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Capture voltage while the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and see if the fault moves. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “ev has plenty of main battery but,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “ev has plenty of main battery but,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Pennsylvania with 23,000 miles. Do that first. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I went back under the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Not interested in a five-hour wait for a shrug.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Move a coil or plug on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Pennsylvania with 23,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

If it were in my driveway, loaded-suspension checks on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and see if the fault moves. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “ev has plenty of main battery but,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

It did ev has plenty of main battery but twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I'll update if anything new shows up.
