2023 Jeep Wrangler — dealer lowered price but added accessories back in

We agreed on a vehicle price, then the worksheet included dealer-installed products I did not ask for. The total is now higher than before. What is the cleanest way to negotiate from an out-the-door number? I am in Nationwide.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2023 Jeep Wrangler is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “dealer lowered price but added accessories back,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Jeep Wrangler in Nationwide. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Two 2023 Jeep Wrangler quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

If I were shopping this, in Nationwide, insurance quotes flipped a 2023 Jeep Wrangler comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. Two 2023 Jeep Wrangler quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. No need to make it theatrical. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Jeep Wrangler so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. That's the sequence I'd use. Sleeping on the number either way.
