2023 Lincoln Navigator — battery dies after the car sits for a weekend

Battery passes a quick test and charging voltage looks normal, but after two or three days parked the car sometimes will not crank. What is the cleanest parasitic-draw test on a modern car that takes time to go to sleep? I am in Seattle. I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “battery dies after the car sits for,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2023 Lincoln Navigator in Seattle. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2023 Lincoln Navigators can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd push back a little: Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2023 Lincoln Navigator does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2023 Lincoln Navigator in Seattle. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

Asking because it changes the advice: Capture voltage while the 2023 Lincoln Navigator is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Agree — and I'd add this: Move a coil or plug on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “battery dies after the car sits for,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator first. I'll update if anything new shows up.
