2023 Lincoln Navigator — buying a car 1,200 miles away without seeing it

2023 Lincoln Navigator Reserve, about 18,500 miles. A hard-to-find spec is several states away. Dealer has provided video and history, but I have not seen it in person. What is the best remote-buy checklist before sending money? I am in Salt Lake City.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Any freeze-frame data saved? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2023 Lincoln Navigator. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Lincoln Navigator and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. That's the whole play. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Lincoln Navigator so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “buying a car 1,200 miles away without,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. Wrote this up on my lunch break.
