2023 Toyota 4Runner — delayed engagement into Drive when cold

After sitting overnight, shifting from Park to Drive can take a second or two before the vehicle actually engages. Once warm it behaves normally. Would you start with fluid, adaptation data, mounts or something mechanical?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2023 Toyota 4Runner and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. That's the sequence I'd use. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Asking because it changes the advice: Move a coil or plug on the 2023 Toyota 4Runner if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'll poke at it this weekend.
