2024 BMW i4 — new pads squeal at parking-lot speeds

TowDaily63Community StarterJul 27, 20262024 BMW i4 eDrive40Las Vegas
2024 BMW i4 eDrive40, about 15,500 miles. Pads and rotors were replaced recently and stopping performance is good, but there is low-speed squeal. Hardware was cleaned and lubricated. How long would you give bedding before inspecting again? I am in Las Vegas.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 BMW i4 does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. No need to make it theatrical. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 BMW i4 and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. That's the whole play. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 BMW i4 is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2024 BMW i4 in Las Vegas with 15,500 miles. No need to make it theatrical. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2024 BMW i4 and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 BMW i4, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2024 BMW i4 first. I'll poke at it this weekend.
