2024 BMW i4 — windshield replaced — does camera calibration matter?

A new windshield is installed and there is no dash warning, but the shop recommends camera calibration. If the manufacturer procedure calls for it, would you do it even when lane-assist functions appear normal? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Two 2024 BMW i4s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Do that first. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 BMW i4 does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Checking again after work.
