2024 Chevrolet Corvette — alternator whine after adding amplifier and DSP

SunBeltGarage401Community StarterApr 22, 20262024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51California
2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51, about 36,500 miles. System is quiet with the engine off, but a high-pitched whine follows RPM once running. Grounds look okay. What is the fastest isolation order for power, signal cables, processor and amplifier? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2024 Chevrolet Corvette. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette in California with 36,500 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A second data point from another 2024 Chevrolet Corvette owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather be boring and correct. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Agree — and I'd add this: On the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette in California, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “alternator whine after adding amplifier and dsp,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette in California with 36,500 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
