2024 Land Rover Defender 110 P400 — good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection?

2024 Land Rover Defender 110 P400, about 118,000 miles. Looking at a used car locally and want a genuinely independent PPI, preferably someone familiar with this brand. What do you ask the shop to include besides a basic scan and lift inspection? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2024 Land Rover Defender price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Do that first. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Land Rover Defender is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Land Rover Defender in San Diego with 118,000 miles. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I screenshotted the quote for later.

If I were shopping this, two 2024 Land Rover Defender quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Land Rover Defender numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “good independent shop for a pre-purchase inspection,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Land Rover Defender numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
