Can I go one inch smaller for winter wheels?

Looking at a smaller-diameter winter setup for more sidewall. Main concern is brake clearance and keeping total tire diameter close. What measurements do you verify before ordering? I'm in Las Vegas. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

Salt and cold mornings punish cheap shortcuts. In Las Vegas, dedicated winters on the 2024 Land Rover Defender paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. Then you'll know the next fork. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.
