2024 Land Rover Defender — factory order status has not moved in weeks

Dealer gave me an order/reference number but the status has been unchanged for weeks. For people who have ordered cars, what updates are meaningful versus normal waiting between milestones? Mileage is about 96,000.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2024 Land Rover Defender so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

I would not stare at the monthly. In Phoenix, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Land Rover Defender comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Not wiring anything in the meantime.
