2024 Lexus RX — 0 percent promo versus a cash rebate

CanyonMiles540Community StarterJun 22, 20262024 Lexus RX 350hDetroit
Manufacturer offers promotional financing or a cash incentive. What is the right way to calculate which one is worth more over my expected payoff period? Mostly looking for the right next step.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. In Detroit, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Lexus RX comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2024 Lexus RX. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Yes, with one caveat: A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Lexus RX is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. On “0 percent promo versus a cash rebate,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Lexus RX numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “0 percent promo versus a cash rebate,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.
