2024 Lexus RX 350h — do shorter oil intervals actually make sense for my use?

Most of my driving is short trips with a lot of idling, but the factory interval is pretty long. I'd rather not waste oil, but I also plan to keep the car past 150k. How would you set an interval based on use instead of just mileage? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Lexus RX owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Stop there until you know. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd push back a little: Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Lexus RX before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Lexus RX, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. If the story changes I'll post the new data.
