2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata — first HPDE in a stock street car

2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club, about 36,000 miles. I am doing my first beginner track day and do not care about lap records. Besides fresh brake fluid, enough pad, good tires and torque checks, what is truly necessary versus internet overkill? I am in Raleigh.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. No need to make it theatrical. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. No need to make it theatrical. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Agree — and I'd add this: A second data point from another 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
