2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class — buyer sends a vehicle-history website I have never heard of

CleanBuyer879Community StarterAug 2, 20262024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300Queens
2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300, about 44,500 miles. Someone interested in my car insists I buy a report from a specific unfamiliar website before they will meet. Is this a common scam pattern and what information should I avoid entering? I am in Queens. I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “benz c-class — buyer sends a vehicle-history,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class in Queens with 44,500 miles. That's the sequence I'd use. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.
