2024 Mitsubishi Outlander — hybrid fuel economy dropped with no warning light

NoMarkupCollectorCommunity StarterAug 14, 20262024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SELWashington DC
2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL, about 26,000 miles. Same commute and driver, but average MPG is down noticeably. Tires are properly inflated. What hybrid-specific data would you inspect before blaming the high-voltage battery?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander in Washington DC with 26,000 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd do that before spending real money. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Quick add on that: A second data point from another 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
