2024 Mitsubishi Outlander — hybrid fuel economy dropped with no warning light — Nationwide / owner question

2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL, about 34,000 miles. Same commute and driver, but average MPG is down noticeably. Tires are properly inflated. What hybrid-specific data would you inspect before blaming the high-voltage battery?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2024 Mitsubishi Outlanders can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. That's the sequence I'd use. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Two 2024 Mitsubishi Outlanders can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Log the conditions before you spend. Two 2024 Mitsubishi Outlanders can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. On “hybrid fuel economy dropped with no warning,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.
