2024 Ram 1500 — dedicated winter tires or modern all-weather tires?

2024 Ram 1500 Limited, about 30,500 miles. Most roads are plowed quickly, but there are cold wet days, slush and a handful of serious storms. For a daily driver, where is the line where dedicated winters become worth storing? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Ram 1500, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Ram 1500, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

If it were in my driveway, two 2024 Ram 1500s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Capture voltage while the 2024 Ram 1500 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. On “dedicated winter tires or modern all-weather tires,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.
