2025 BMW M3 — how much room below MSRP when inventory is normal? — Portland owner question

TorqueFan276Community StarterJan 20, 20262025 BMW M3 CompetitionPortland
I am shopping a new car with several similar units sitting nearby. Dealer started at MSRP plus fees. What is the best way to use competing written quotes without turning the process into endless back-and-forth?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2025 BMW M3 price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Quick add on that: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 BMW M3 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “how much room below msrp when inventory,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Yes, with one caveat: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 BMW M3 numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “how much room below msrp when inventory,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' That's my plan before I call anyone.

I'd push back a little: Two 2025 BMW M3 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 BMW M3 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Sleeping on the number either way.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. Two 2025 BMW M3 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.
