2025 BMW M3 — should I tell the dealer I am paying cash up front?

2025 BMW M3 Competition, about 21,500 miles. I do not need financing, but I keep hearing conflicting advice about when to mention that. I mostly want a clean transaction. Does payment method really change how you should negotiate vehicle price?

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2025 BMW M3 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. That's the sequence I'd use. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I asked about should i tell the dealer i am again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Call your insurer in Westchester before you fall in love with the 2025 BMW M3. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “should i tell the dealer i am,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 BMW M3 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. Two 2025 BMW M3 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 BMW M3 numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “should i tell the dealer i am,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I screenshotted the quote for later.

If I were shopping this, two 2025 BMW M3 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.
