2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid — cPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid, about 78,000 miles. Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2025 Honda Civic notes. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Honda Civic with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2025 Honda Civic is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I would not stare at the monthly. Two 2025 Honda Civic quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 Honda Civic numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “cpo luxury suv or brand-new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2025 Honda Civic in Boston / New England with 78,000 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Same neighborhood, different next step: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 Honda Civic numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.
