2025 Toyota Camry XSE — need advice: Shudder at light throttle around 40 mph

2025 Toyota Camry XSE, about 48,000 miles. I get a light shudder at steady throttle around 35–45 mph. If I accelerate harder or lift off, it goes away. Trying to figure out whether this sounds more like torque-converter behavior, engine misfire, or tires. Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2025 Toyota Camry, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. That's the whole play. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

If it were in my driveway, loaded-suspension checks on the 2025 Toyota Camry catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. The universe charges extra for guessing. Not driving it hard until I know more.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Move a coil or plug on the 2025 Toyota Camry if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

This is from a 2025 Toyota Camry in Central Florida with 48,000 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2025 Toyota Camry does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
