Anyone else: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 in Detroit. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

OP update: I got two written quotes on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 and the out-the-door gap is bigger than the ads made it look. I screenshotted the quote for later.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “cpo luxury suv or brand-new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.
