Anyone else: Fun daily that still works for one-car ownership

I want something I enjoy on back roads but still need to commute, carry luggage and survive bad weather. Trying to avoid buying a car that only makes sense on paper. What compromises have actually mattered after a year? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

I would not stare at the monthly. If one piece looks too good on the 2025 Lexus NX, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2025 Lexus NX in Atlanta. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Quick add on that: Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Lexus NX with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Atlanta before you fall in love with the 2025 Lexus NX. If they balk, that's your answer. On “fun daily that still works for one-car,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I screenshotted the quote for later.
