Cleaning the hybrid battery cooling fan — worth doing preventively?

2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, about 8,200 miles. Car is used in a dusty environment and has pets in it regularly. I've read about battery cooling fans getting dirty. Is inspecting/cleaning it a reasonable preventive job or better left alone without symptoms? I'm in Pennsylvania. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread. What am I missing?

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 Hyundai Tucson numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I would not stare at the monthly. In Pennsylvania, insurance quotes flipped a 2025 Hyundai Tucson comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. That's the whole play. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in Pennsylvania with 8,200 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. On “worth doing preventively,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I screenshotted the quote for later.
