CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

2021 Range Rover Sport HSE, about 14,500 miles. Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? Ambient temp was about 45°F when I noticed it.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2021 Range Rover Sport, not a parking lot at night. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2021 Range Rover Sport in Central Florida with 14,500 miles. Just my two cents from doing this recently. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2021 Range Rover Sport. Then you'll know the next fork. On “new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Any freeze-frame data saved? Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Independent PPI on the 2021 Range Rover Sport is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” I'd do that before spending real money. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. If the 2021 Range Rover Sport still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2021 Range Rover Sport in Central Florida with 14,500 miles. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.
