CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette in Texas. Do that first. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I'd rather be boring and correct. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.
