Hybrid MPG suddenly down with no warning lights

2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge, about 96,000 miles. Same commute, same driver, but average MPG dropped pretty sharply over the last month. Tire pressure is good. What hybrid-specific things are worth checking before assuming the battery is getting weak? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2022 Volvo XC90 in Phoenix, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “hybrid mpg suddenly down with no warning,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
