Same commute, same driver, but average MPG dropped pretty sharply over the last month. Tire pressure is good. What hybrid-specific things are worth checking before assuming the battery is getting weak? Any data points from owners would help.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2025 Honda Civic, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Do that first. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2025 Honda Civic so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “hybrid mpg suddenly down with no warning,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I screenshotted the quote for later.

OP update: I got two written quotes on the 2025 Honda Civic and the out-the-door gap is bigger than the ads made it look. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2025 Honda Civic, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2025 Honda Civic so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In North Jersey, insurance quotes flipped a 2025 Honda Civic comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2025 Honda Civic in North Jersey. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in North Jersey before you fall in love with the 2025 Honda Civic. If they balk, that's your answer. On “hybrid mpg suddenly down with no warning,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.
