Need advice: Another software-related recall — are cars getting too centralized?

2024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor, about 4,800 miles. This newest recall looks like another case where a software/electronics fault affects a basic driving function. I like modern features, but it does make me wonder whether too many systems now depend on one screen/module. If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Polestar 2 before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Polestar 2, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Agree — and I'd add this: On the 2024 Polestar 2 in Orange County, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “another software-related recall — are cars getting,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
