Question: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

2022 Lexus GX 460, about 8,200 miles. Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. Two 2022 Lexus GX quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Then the comparison gets honest. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2022 Lexus GX numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. The universe charges extra for guessing. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Asking because it changes the advice: If one piece looks too good on the 2022 Lexus GX, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2022 Lexus GX numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “cpo luxury suv or brand-new mainstream suv,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I screenshotted the quote for later.
