Question: Weird vibration only between 62–70 mph

Car is smooth around town, but on the highway I get a vibration in the steering wheel and seat between about 62 and 70 mph. Above that it actually gets a little better. Tires look okay to me. Where would you start before I start throwing parts at it? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

If it were in my driveway, write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Volkswagen GTI does it — then decide on parts. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. That's the whole play. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Two 2022 Volkswagen GTIs can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2022 Volkswagen GTIs can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.
