Silverado light-throttle shudder: engine or transmission?

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2, about 96,000 miles. At steady speed with light throttle I get a vibration that feels almost like driving over fine rumble strips. It disappears if I accelerate. What's the cleanest way to separate wheel/tire issues, cylinder-deactivation behavior and converter/transmission shudder? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Log the conditions before you spend. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “throttle shudder: engine or transmission,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'll update if anything new shows up.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Capture voltage while the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 first. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Move a coil or plug on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
