Square wheel setup on a car that came staggered

Thinking about moving to a square setup for tire rotation and track use. Besides fitment, what handling changes should I expect on a car calibrated around staggered tires? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. Check whether your 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. Then you'll know the next fork. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata ownership costs yet. Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata ownership costs yet. That's where I'd start. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Same neighborhood, different next step: On a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. Then you'll know the next fork. On “square wheel setup on a car that,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. That's my plan before I call anyone.
