Would you pay more for documentation than lower mileage?

2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS, about 8,200 miles. Comparing two older enthusiast cars: one has lower mileage but thin history, the other has higher mileage with years of invoices and owner notes. Assuming both inspect well, how much value do you put on records? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro in Houston, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “would you pay more for documentation than,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I parked the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Asking because it changes the advice: If it still isn't clear on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork. The universe charges extra for guessing. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2016 Chevrolet Camaro owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
