1987 Porsche 911 — check-engine light turned itself off — still scan it?

The light was on for two days and then disappeared before I could schedule service. Car feels normal. Is there still likely to be useful stored or pending data if I scan it now?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 1987 Porsche 911s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “check-engine light turned itself off — still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 1987 Porsche 911 didn't change. Checking again after work.

If it were in my driveway, a pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 1987 Porsche 911 is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. When does it actually happen? Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
