1987 Porsche 911 — conservative tune feels great — what should I log?

I do not want to judge a tune only by how fast the car feels. Which parameters are worth logging periodically if the goal is catching fuel, knock, boost or temperature problems early? Mostly looking for the right next step.

Checked the easy stuff on the 1987 Porsche 911 and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 1987 Porsche 911, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
