2004 Honda S2000 — old 6V-to-12V conversion has decades of splices

I bought a classic that was converted years ago and several owners have added wiring since. Everything works now, but the harness is messy. At what point is a fresh harness safer than repairing sections forever? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money. Mileage is about 138,000.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2004 Honda S2000s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2004 Honda S2000 didn't change. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.
