2005 Ford F-250 — fuel trims are positive at idle and improve with RPM

2005 Ford F-250 6.0 Power Stroke, about 63,000 miles. Long-term fuel trims are much more positive at idle than at 2,500 RPM. No obvious misfire. Does that pattern still make an intake/vacuum leak the first place to look? Mostly looking for the right next step.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2005 Ford F-250, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2005 Ford F-250 in Miami with 63,000 miles. No need to make it theatrical. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2005 Ford F-250 catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Two 2005 Ford F-250s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2005 Ford F-250 in Miami with 63,000 miles. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

OP update: scanned the 2005 Ford F-250 again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2005 Ford F-250 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. That's the sequence I'd use. I'd rather be boring and correct. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.
